OK SO i’m 100% certain everyone is aware that shoyrus and kacheeks are the two most popular pets on the site in regards to how many have been created and it’s been like that since FOREVER right

well WAAAAY back in 2002 on my first neopets account when i was like 11 years old i had 4 shoyrus because i thought OMG they were SOOO CUTE and i was going through this phase where i liked dragons a lot

one day i got a message from this dude who said they were going to report me and get my account frozen if i didn’t buy overpriced crap from them from their shop because i was an EVIL PERSON

of course back then i was like this virtuous HUGE SWEETHEART to everyone and went out of my way to make sure i always did the right thing so at that moment my 11 year old mind was going all like “OH NO WHAT DID I DO I HOPE I DIDN’T DO ANYTHING BAD ON ACCIDENT???!!! :’(” so i apologized several times for whatever i may have done and even decided to buy something from him anyway because I LOVED TO SHARE NO HARD FEELINGS RIGHT!!!

but then it turned out that the reason i was so ~*~EVIL~*~ was because i had 4 shoyrus

this dude was harassing me because he loved kacheeks (he had 3 or 4 of them i think????) and was super pissed because SHOYRUS WERE MORE POPULAR BOO HOO

and he was making it his mission to report everyone who owned one or more and get them kicked off the site so his beloved favorite species would triumph and become more popular

i shit you not it was on his userlookup and everything

it didn’t even end there either because later on there was another person (possibly the first dude’s sockpuppet because the username was almost a direct copy of mine) who started getting on my case because of my pets and they both became like this DESTROY THE EVIL SHOYRUS crimefighting squad????

THEN they made a guild that was dedicated to all this shit and they were making lists of people to target and they were like SPAM THEM AND ASK THEM FOR NEOPOINTS AND REPORT THEIR ACCOUNTS

I WAS THEIR NUMBER ONE TOP THREAT????? they wrote a whole bunch of lies about me and personified all of my pets as like my evil henchmen and my battle pet at the time was their ringleader

also hrobi was also on that list too and that made me laugh pretty hard. now i wonder if they ever actually went after her and if so i wonder what her reaction was???? who knows

anyway this went on for literally several fucking MONTHS and even after i blocked them they were getting their guild members to harass me. i reported them several times for their bullshit but TNT didn’t do anything about it because they were an even bigger sack of useless shit 10 years ago if you can even begin to imagine that

so eventually i just gave up and made a new account and abandoned my old one. it was pretty dumb!!!! now i just look back on it and laugh really hard but when i was a little kid it was just really obnoxious and frustrating and almost made me want to stop playing neopets altogether because they wouldn’t fucking GO AWAY

i think sometime later when i start using my new side account i’m going to make this pet to honor this ridiculous chapter in my neopian life
